October leaving England about the sesalcolipiber on

your signing the usual agreement with the Crown Agents for the Colonies, Whitehall flavens, S.V., by which you will be bound to repay its cost in the event of

your leaving the service of the "overnment within thres

years of the date of your arrival in the Colony for

any other reason than mental or physical infirmity.

7. You will be entitled to half salary from the

date of your embarkation from this country, and to full

salary from the date of your arrival in the Colony. In the event of your appointmont, being cafçelled, you

will not be entitled to any leave of absence or pay

after the date of the letter by which the cancellation

is notified to you, unless the "overnor, subject to

the approval of the Recretary of State, shall grant it

on special grounds.
